Product support / Chapter 01

1. Overview

Start here to understand the four EPM Vitals workspaces and the review paths they support.

Workspaces and review paths

EPM Vitals is a local EPM delivery and migration support tool. It helps implementation teams inspect application exports, build reusable application profiles, generate configuration workbooks, validate data, convert data formats, compare metadata, review mappings, analyze impact chains, explore business logic, and keep local run evidence. Where enabled, the Oracle EPM API connector can pull a profile-only migration package directly from Oracle EPM without pulling Essbase Data.

The product is organized around four workspaces:

WorkspacePurpose
ApplicationBuild application profiles, read snapshots, inspect business logic, analyze impact chains, and review migration readiness.
DataGenerate configs, validate data, convert data, and check data readiness.
MetadataCompare metadata, review mappings, and export metadata catalogs.
ToolsManage configuration utilities, template library, automation commands, upgrade assistance, run history, and license activation.

Use these starting points when you need to prepare a local review, activate EPM Vitals, or resolve a delivery issue.

What EPM Vitals does and does not replace

EPM Vitals is designed for project teams that need practical evidence during EPM migration, reconciliation, and delivery review. It is not a replacement for Oracle EPM, OneStream, or any target EPM platform. It is a local analysis and preparation tool that helps teams find issues earlier and document what was checked.
